Love Lessons

My butterflies are madly in love
In a chaotic moment
All it takes is her touch
And the brush of her lips
Against mine are enough
To ruffle all of my feathers
Until my peacock comes undone
Oh how her storm I will weather
How her love I will treasure
How she fills up my cup
And what runneth over feels like heaven
She is like the freshest bread unleavened
My favorite number is thirteen, but
She is my lucky number seven
Where she goes I will follow
My heart is no longer heavy
My waters run deep
Her green eyes hold me steady
Looking into my own
With a heart on the ready
To love me so deep
I will accept nothing less than
Her adoration matches mine
We teach each other love lessons
My soul is once again home
She is my girl
She is my blessing
